Vision alloy supplies Belleville washer in various sizes to its customers. Conical spring washers is manufactured for heavy-duty bolts sections such as bus bars, rectifiers, heat exchangers, transformers, transmission, etc. Belleville washers are also called conical washers. The purpose of these washers is to counter the effect of the laying, resulting in a free operation of the pin assemblies. They do not prevent the assembly from being loosened under varying radial loads effectively and are mainly thrust-suitable for use with short bolts.

The washer consists mainly of a convex disk supported by a single force and an opposing force at the center of the disc at the outside periphery. These are used individually or in pads for the desired load and transportation. The advantage of a Belleville washer is that its power is generated with minimal movement and very short spring length when compressed. It permits thermal expansion and vibration or keeps a distance between machine components. Belleville washers are usually used as springs or in a bolted joint or bearing as a preload of flexible quality. They can also be used as locking systems but only in low-dynamic load applications such as bicycle tube shifters.

Belleville washers are also useful for the swelling or retraction of wood propellers on the aircraft (typically experimental aircraft) in connection with mounting bolts. When their connected bolts are torqued to provide a certain gulf between sets of washers which face each other in the “higher ends,” changing relative humidity levels in the propeller wood leads to changes in gaps that are often sufficiently high for visual detection.
